数字农业下小农生产效率悖论与破解之道——基于江西省736份稻农数据

摘要:
目的 借助小农视角,从微观层面分析数字技术、互联网应用对小农水稻生产率的影响。方法 文章基于江西省736份稻农数据,运用普通最小二乘法(OLS)探究数字技术、互联网应用对小农生产效率的影响效应与内在机制。结果 (1)数字技术对小农生产效率具有显著抑制作用,小农生产过程中存在明显“数字鸿沟”;(2)从数字技术的广覆盖综合视角过渡到具体的互联网应用视角,却发现互联网应用能够促进小农生产效率的提升,加快农业数字化转型;通过稳健性检验和利用工具变量法缓解内生性后,研究结果仍然显著;(3)作用机制表明,互联网应用能够通过农户的社会网络对其生产效率发挥作用。(4)异质性结果表明,互联网应用对小农生产效率的影响会随农户文化程度、婚姻状况和年龄的差异而不同。结论 在不断推进农村基础设施建设的同时,要提高农户组织化程度,推进农业全产业链数字生态的构建,实现农业数字化转型,促进农民增收,助力乡村振兴。

PARADOX AND SOLUTION OF SMALL FARMERS' PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY UNDER DIGITAL AGRICULTURE——BASED ON 736 RICE FARMER DATA IN JIANGXI PROVINCE

Abstract:
From the perspective of small farmers, this research aims to analyze the impact of digital technology and Internet application on small farmers' rice productivity from the micro level. Based on 736 rice farmers' data in Jiangxi province, this study adopted the ordinary least squares (OLS) method to explore the effect and internal mechanism of digital technology and Internet application on the production efficiency of small farmers. The results showed that: (1) Digital technology had a significant effect on the production efficiency of small-scale farmers, and there was a significant "digital divide" in the production process of small-scale farmers; (2) However, from the perspective of comprehensive coverage of digital technology to the perspective of specific Internet applications, it was found that Internet applications could promote the production efficiency of small-scale farmers and accelerate the digital transformation of agriculture. After using instrumental variables to address endogeneity issues and conducting robustness tests, the research conclusions remained robust. (3) The impact mechanism showed that Internet applications could affect farmers' production efficiency through their social networks. (4) The heterogeneity analysis showed that the impact of Internet application on farmers' production efficiency would vary depending on farmers' educational level, marital status and age. Finally, this research provides a new perspective for the study of agricultural production efficiency, therefore, while continuously promoting rural infrastructure construction, it is necessary to improve the degree of farmer organization, promote the construction of a digital ecosystem for the entire agricultural industry chain, achieve digital transformation of agriculture, promote farmers' income growth, and assist in rural revitalization.
